Taken under the wing of grammy-award winning producer Cory Rooney (Jennifer Lopez, Marc Anthony, Jessica Simpson, etc) early on, Monica gained a strong foundation in production. Always faithful, Monica's unique sound has been craft over the past 6 years with production partner Kobayashi and vocal producer McJosh. She describes her sound as a mash-up of electronic, funk and the color grey. Having personally received daps from industry legends such as Q-Tip (A Tribe Called Quest) and Questlove, both of whom she credits as her influences, she maintains that "Fade Into You" by Mazzy Star is the best song ever composed.
